Panama Pacific Silver $ Concept – Production
Blog
All are over-struck on genuine Morgan Silver Dollars of 1878-1921.
The original Panama Pacific Exposition issue of 1915 consisted of a silver half dollar, a gold $2.50 piece, and two gold $50 pieces (round and octagonal).
The original $50 gold pieces are quite rare and exceptionally valuable. This “what if” concept illustrates what it might have looked like had the $50 gold design been used to produce silver dollars.
NOTE: These are NOT endorsed by the US Treasury. Defacing of US coins is legal so long as the defacement isn't for fraudulent purposes.
