“1878-CC” Trade Concept – Production Blog
All are over-struck on genuine Morgan Silver Dollars of 1878-1921.
This “1878-CC” Trade concept utilizes
an 1878 Trade Dollar obverse paired with a Morgan “CC” reverse. 1878 was the
last year that Trade Dollars were minted for circulation, and the first year of
the Morgan Dollar.
The reverse is also marked “SILKVER DOLLAR” rather than “ONE DOLLAR” which was
used on original Trade and Morgan Dollars.
